Mentorship & Volunteering

Lifebox would not be able to achieve half of what we do without the input and support from countless healthcare professionals, researchers, hospital administrators, students, and patients around the world.

We welcome medical and public health students and trainees who are keen to get involved with our work and/or get the chance to be mentored by one of our clinical experts. Unfortunately we get more requests than our organization can provide adequate mentorship for, so we do need to be selective.

If you are a student looking for mentorship and a chance to be involved in Lifebox’s global surgical safety work, please send a one-page cover note detailing your specific area of interest and any relevant details you want to share, including language skills, along with your resume/CV to opportunities@lifebox.org.

If you are a trainee or resident with support for engaging in surgical, anesthesia, or nursing quality improvement research or implementation, please see our Lifebox Fellows program

We are always interested in hearing from those who want to work with us in a voluntary capacity, however, our team has limited time to actively engage. We will endeavour to respond to all requests within 8 weeks.
