Head of Human Resources (HR): Job Description

Job opportunity at the global non-profit Lifebox.

Job title: Head of Human Resources (HR)

Location: Global, remote (open to candidates with employment rights in the UK or on a consultancy basis for applicants based elsewhere)

Contract: 12 months fixed term contract, renewable subject to availability of funding

FTE: 80-100% 

Reporting to: Global COO

Key relationships: Global Leadership team; Lifebox team consisting of employees from UK, Ethiopia and USA as well as consultants, medical volunteers, Fellows and others based around the world. 


To lead and develop a HR function that enables Lifebox to achieve its strategic aims by recruiting, managing, and developing skilled and engaged staff. This will include overseeing operational and strategic HR activities, and promoting and protecting an inclusive organizational culture true to our values that supports diversity and equality in all its forms.

Working collaboratively across the organization, the postholder will give strategic HR advice to the CEO and global leadership team, and operational advice to all managers and staff.
