The Panel

The webinar will be chaired by Dr Ranee Thakar, Senior Vice President at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. UK based, Ranee is a consultant O&G with experience across a wide range of areas within O&G including psychosexual medicine, female genital mutilation (FGM) and the prevention and management of obstetric anal sphincter injury (OASI).

Ranee is also President of the International Urogynaecological Association and has previously served as the secretary of the British Society of Urogynaecology (BSUG).

 

 

Professor Shahin Rahman Chowdhury is a Fellow of RCOG and is Professor & Head of Department of the Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College & Hospital, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Professor Chowdhury is Chair of the IRC, Bangladesh and a member of the Perinatal Society of Bangladesh, the Endometrial Society of Bangladesh and the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Bangladesh

Professor Tim Draycott is RCOG Vice President for Clinical Quality and Consultant Obstetrician in Bristol where he leads the PROMPT training course which runs worldwide. 

 

Dr. Leonard Kabongo is Chief Medical Officer at the Ministry of Health and Social Services, Namibia. As a General Practitioner, Dr Kabongo works at Gobabis Hospital where he implemented the Better Birth Checklist. Dr Kabongo is a Lifebox Faculty member for its Safer Anesthesia work. 

Dr Adolfo Liao is the Obstetrical coordinator at Hospital Vila Santa Catarina in São Paulo, Brazil and the Sociedade Benef Israelita Bras Hospital Albert Einstein. Dr Liao had a Fellowship at Harris Birthright Centre, King’s College Hospital – London. 

 

 

Dr. Meena Samant is a senior consultant at the Kurji Holy Family Hospital in Bihar, India. Dr. Samant is Chairperson of the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI)  Research Committee and Secretary General of the Indian Society of Perinatology and Reproductive Biology (ISOPARB).

 

Dr. Milind Shah is an obstetrician at the Naval Maternity & Nursing Home Ashakiran Sperm Bank & Infertility Center in Maharashtra, India and the Naval Maternity & Nursing Home Endoscopy & IVF Center in Mumbai. Dr Shah is Deputy Secretary General of Asia Oceania Federation of all Perinatal Societies (FAOPS), Past President of the Indian Society of Perinatology and Reproductive Biology (ISOPARB) and the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI). Dr. Shah is a Lifebox Faculty member for its safer surgery work in India.
