We’re prioritising the most invisible, essential component of any complex system: safety.
Because fundamentally, Lifebox is about saving lives.
Launched in 2011 by four of the world’s leading medical organisations, Lifebox is the only NGO devoted to safer surgery and anaesthesia in low-resource countries.
We build networks across professional, academic and commercial organisations in more than 100 countries worldwide, and we’ve helped to make more than 10 million operations safer so far.
For more information, check out the history of Lifebox, scan our annual report or watch founder and chair Professor Atul Gawande explain our work on the frontline of the global surgical safety crisis.
And please consider making a donation to support our lifesaving work.
