Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society International Education Foundation (CASIEF) and Lifebox are calling on anesthesiology residency programs across Canada to join us in bridging the global gaps in safe anesthesia. By participating in the CASIEF-Lifebox Resident Challenge, you not only contribute to a noble cause but also stand a chance to gain recognition and network with other programs. The CASIEF-Lifebox Resident Challenge is a peer-to-peer fundraising competition in which participating residency programs compete to raise the most funds for global anesthesia safety.
All funds raised will support the distribution of and training on the Smile Train-Lifebox Capnograph to anesthesia providers in needs around the world.
How does the Challenge work?
- Participating programs will nominate a team captain and sign up their team on the fundraising website, CASIEF’s CanadaHELPS page.
- Participants will compete to raise the most funds, collecting donations through the CanadaHELPS page.
- The Challenge will run from the 2025 Canada Anesthesiologists’ Society (CAS) Annual Meeting to the 2026 Annual Meeting. Participants can fundraise at any point during that period.
- Participants can utilize this guide and toolkit to help them get started, plan their fundraiser, and access fundraising resources.
